The move, one step at a time
Establish which player you are on
Open the app you have been using. If it asked you for a username and password, it is IPTV Smarters and you can hold two providers at once. If it showed you a MAC address and never asked for a password, it is Smart IPTV and it holds one playlist at a time, which changes how you should approach this. Read the relevant branch below rather than both.
Open the Samsung store, if you need to install anything
Press Home and open Apps; the search icon sits in the upper corner. If Apps is missing entirely, the set predates 2016 and none of this applies — a Fire TV Stick in a spare HDMI socket is the answer, and it makes for a better experience anyway.
On IPTV Smarters: add a second login
Use Add User rather than editing what is there. Choose Login with Xtream Codes and enter the three new values. Both providers now sit in the app and you switch between them from the profile screen. This is the arrangement you want, because it lets you compare on a live evening before cancelling anything.
On Smart IPTV: save the old link first
This app stores one playlist against the television's MAC address, so loading ours will displace what is there. Before you do anything, retrieve your current provider's M3U link from their activation message and keep it somewhere safe — it is the only way back if you decide against moving. Then go to siptv.app/mylist on a phone, enter the MAC the app displays, paste our link, tick Keep online and press Send.
Restart the app properly
Close it fully and reopen — not merely return to the home screen, which on Tizen leaves it running. The channel list and guide load on the second opening. The channel list button on the remote is by a distance the fastest route through the groups once you are in.
Check the picture settings before judging anything
Samsung sets ship with motion smoothing enabled, which makes live sport look peculiar and has nothing to do with whose line you are on. Turn Picture Clarity off, or down, in the picture settings. Do this before comparing providers, or you will attribute a television setting to one of them and possibly to the wrong one.
Compare, then commit
Open your own ten channels at the hour you actually watch. On a Samsung specifically, also check whatever you care about in 4K: the panel will handle it and a strained connection may not, and that pairing is exactly what you want to discover on a free line rather than in week three of a paid year. Once decided, rebuild favourites and let the old subscription lapse rather than cancelling it early.
If something does not behave
The app is missing from the store in my country
Samsung varies its catalogue by region, which is an ordinary commercial decision. Change the region in Settings, or use IPTV Smarters, which is stocked in very nearly every market. If neither helps, ask support and we will name something that is actually available where you are.
Smart IPTV says the playlist has expired
That refers to the app's stored copy rather than to any subscription, and the wording alarms people every time. Reinstalling the app or resetting the television clears the stored list, so upload the M3U again at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC. Neither your old nor your new account is involved.
A black screen with sound still playing
A decoder mismatch rather than a dead channel. Switch the player to native or hardware decoding in the app settings, or pick the lower-bitrate copy of that channel, which exists beside most sports feeds. If it happens on both providers, it is the television rather than either line.
The set forgot everything after a firmware update
Samsung updates occasionally clear app data and nothing prevents it. Smarters needs the three values re-entered, which takes a minute. Smart IPTV needs the playlist re-sent to the same MAC. Keep your credentials somewhere retrievable and this is an annoyance rather than an evening — the same advice that would have helped when the last provider went down.

What people ask when moving a Samsung Smart TV
Can I run two providers on a Samsung?
On IPTV Smarters, yes: it holds multiple users. On Smart IPTV, no, because it stores one playlist per television. If you want to compare properly and you are on Smart IPTV, either install Smarters alongside for the test, or run our line on a phone while the television keeps the old one. Both work; the first is tidier.
Do I need a Firestick?
Not for this. Any Samsung from 2016 onward runs IPTV Smarters or Smart IPTV from its own store. A stick is worth adding for older sets, or if you want TiViMate, which Samsung does not carry and is not going to. If your previous provider told you a box was required, that was never true.
Is Smart IPTV free?
It runs free for seven days, then asks a small one-time activation for that television, paid at siptv.app. That money goes to the app's developer and has nothing to do with any subscription. Worth knowing when you switch: the activation stays with the television, so you do not pay it twice for changing provider.
Will a 2015 Samsung work?
Realistically no. The store on those sets is either gone or missing the relevant apps, and Samsung stopped supporting them years ago. A Fire TV Stick in a spare socket costs thirty to fifty dollars and gives you a better player than the television ever offered.
My old provider made me use their own app. Now what?
Uninstall it and take a normal player from the Samsung store, because an app that accepts only one company's line was a lock rather than a feature. IPTV Smarters or Smart IPTV will take our credentials and anybody else's, which means the next move after this one costs you nothing.
Does the television need to stay on the same network?
For Smarters it makes no difference. For Smart IPTV it can, because some sets report a different MAC on wifi than over ethernet and the playlist is bound to whichever the app displayed at upload. Settle on one connection before uploading and the question never arises.
