The move, one step at a time
Save the old link first. Genuinely, first.
Find your current provider's M3U link in whatever message they sent when you signed up and put it somewhere you can find again. This is the only step on this page that cannot be undone later, and skipping it is how people end up with no television at all while they wait for a provider who may already have stopped replying to re-issue something.
Note the MAC address
Open Smart IPTV on the television and write down the MAC it displays, or photograph the screen. The next step happens on a different device and a mistyped MAC sends your playlist to a television that does not exist, with no error shown anywhere. A photograph removes that possibility entirely.
Upload the new playlist
On a phone or laptop go to siptv.app/mylist. Enter the MAC exactly, colons included, paste the new M3U link into the URL field, tick Keep online and press Send. Nothing appears to happen on the television at this point, which is normal and not a sign of failure.
Restart the app on the television
Close Smart IPTV properly and open it again. Channels and the guide load from the new playlist. If it is still empty, wait a minute and restart once more before concluding anything, because the upload is not always instantaneous.
Consider installing Smarters for the comparison
Since this app cannot hold two providers, the practical way to compare is to put IPTV Smarters on the same television alongside it, run our line there, and keep the old provider in Smart IPTV. It is a little untidy and it works, and it means you can switch between the two during the same match rather than choosing blind.
Tidy the list once you have decided
The app shows everything in the playlist, which on a television remote is a great deal to scroll. Hide the groups you will never open and set your favourites. Smart IPTV is minimal by design, so this organising step matters more here than on richer players.
Know who you already paid
The one-time activation you paid for this television stays with the television, not with the playlist. Changing provider does not mean paying it again. That money went to the app's developer at siptv.app rather than to any IPTV seller, we take no part in it, and nobody should be telling you a switch requires a second activation fee.
If something does not behave
The list uploads but the television shows nothing
Wait a minute and restart before assuming failure. Then check the MAC was entered exactly, colons included, since one wrong character despatches your playlist to a television that does not exist and nothing reports an error. Remember it holds one playlist, so a second upload replaces the first.
It says the playlist has expired
That refers to the app's stored copy rather than to a subscription, and the wording is unfortunate. Reinstalling the app or resetting the set clears the stored list, so upload the M3U again at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC. If it is your old provider's link that has genuinely stopped working, that is their term ending rather than the app.
The MAC address changed
Some televisions report a different MAC on wifi than on ethernet, which quietly breaks a working setup the day somebody plugs in a cable. Use whichever connection you intend to keep, then upload against the MAC the app displays on that connection.
Only some channels appear after the upload
The playlist uploaded but was truncated, which happens when the file is large and the television short of memory. Ask support for an M3U filtered to your country, which reduces it to a fraction of the size and generally resolves it immediately.

What people ask when moving a Smart IPTV (SIPTV)
Can I keep my old provider while I test yours?
Not inside this app, because it holds one playlist per television. Install IPTV Smarters alongside it and run the new line there, or run ours on a phone while the television keeps the old one. Both work. What you should not do is overwrite the only copy of a playlist you might still want.
Do I pay the activation fee again when I switch?
No. It is licensed to the television rather than to a playlist or a provider, so changing line changes nothing about it. If anybody tells you a switch requires paying siptv.app again, they are mistaken or they are not being straight with you.
What is the difference between Smart IPTV and SSIPTV?
Two applications by different developers solving the same problem in nearly the same way, and the similar names cause endless confusion. Smart IPTV uses the MAC upload described here; SSIPTV accepts a link entered on the television. Either works with what we issue, so use whichever your store stocks.
Why is there no username and password?
Because the app stores the playlist against the television rather than against an account, which keeps it very light on hardware that struggles with heavier players. The trade-off is exactly the one this page is about: the playlist belongs to the set, so replacing it is destructive.
Is there any way to avoid the one-playlist limit?
Not within this app, which is the trade-off for how light it is. Install IPTV Smarters alongside it if you want two providers on one television, or accept that a switch here is a replacement rather than a comparison. On a 2016 or 2017 panel the lightness is usually worth the limitation; on a newer set it is not.
What happens if I change my subscription later?
A renewal on the same credentials needs nothing done. A reissued line means a new M3U link uploaded again at siptv.app/mylist against the same MAC. The activation you paid the developer is untouched either way, and is not charged again.
The app shows the old playlist after I uploaded a new one. Why?
It caches aggressively. Close the app fully, restart the television rather than only the app, and open it again. Where a set has genuinely stuck, removing and reinstalling clears the stored copy, and your activation for that television survives the reinstall untouched.
Can I put it on two televisions?
Yes, but each has its own MAC address, so each needs its own upload and, after the trial, its own activation fee to the developer. That per-set charge is the main reason households with several televisions tend to end up on Smarters instead.
